As a massage therapist I enjoy the problem solving challenges of figuring out how to help relieve pain or free a tight muscle, increasing a client's range of motion.
Using an integrative approach combining long, slow strokes that engage both muscle and fascia along with movements and stretches, I adjust pressure to meet the client's needs. This works to reduce anxiety and stress by providing a safe and comforting space to breathe and relax and enables a shift from being in the head, to a state of embodiment and grounded self awareness.
